  JOANNE CASHMAN

- Founder of Camino Community in Melbourne

Joanne walked her first Camino in 2011 from St Jean Pied de Port to Santiago after a major life changing event.

In 2013 she founded Camino Community in Melbourne with the intention to create a space and opportunity for locally based like minded people who are interested in the Camino de Santiago to share Camino stories, provide Information and Inspiration to past , present and future pilgrims.

Joanne passion and commitment to the Camino landed her a job as a "Camino Specialist" for a private tour operator, assiting clients with their Camino planning and preparation for their tailormade trip.

In 2014 Joanne served as a "Volunteer Hospitaleros" (host of the Pilgrim's Hostel) in the municipal alburgue "Domenica Laffi" in El Burgo Raneo on the Frances Camino.

In 2015, Joanne walked various sections of the Camino including walking from Santiago to Finisterre and Muxia and also part of the Portugues route.

In 2016, the call of the Camino continues to whipser to her soul.

In 2017, Joanne will be leading a group of women on a Spirtual Journey along the Camino de Santiago over 13 days.
